Ways of Immigration to Japan

There are currently 29 types of Residence Status people can apply for staying in Japan. *Commonly known as the “Highly Skilled Professional Visa.” Applicants who score 70 points or above under the Highly Skilled Professional Points-Based System may apply for this visa. After the applicants have met the eligible requirements for 3 years can apply for Permanent Residency. Those who score 80 points or above may apply for Permanent Residency as early as after 1 year.
